Ensuring That Designed Systems Are Properly Implemented in the Field
The installation and commissioning phase involves the accurate and safe implementation of the technical infrastructure developed during the engineering and manufacturing processes under on-site conditions.
This phase is critical to ensuring that systems can be put into operation in accordance with their designed performance criteria.
| Assembly Process
_ Mechanical and Electrical Installation Coordination
On-site installation is carried out in accordance with project documents, layout plans, and installation details. Mechanical equipment, conveyance lines, and auxiliary systems are integrated into the site, taking into account the facility conditions.
Electrical installation—including panel connections, field equipment, and instrumentation wiring—is carried out in accordance with relevant standards. This process lays the foundation for maintaining system integrity and ensuring a smooth transition to the commissioning phase.
_ Pneumatic Conveying Systems and Field Applications
In pneumatic conveying systems, piping routes are designed with pressure losses, service access, and on-site ergonomics in mind. Line installations are carried out in accordance with the criteria established during the system engineering phase.
_ Supervision and Field Coordination
Depending on project requirements, on-site supervision services are provided. This structure helps ensure that coordination among installation teams, employer representatives, and other disciplines is carried out within a technical framework.
_ Lifting Equipment and Logistics Planning
The cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment required for system installation are planned with consideration for site conditions and the installation sequence. Lifting operations are organized to support the workflow.
_ Installation Progress Tracking
Throughout the installation process, daily and weekly progress reports are prepared to document the status of the site. These reports make it possible to monitor the project’s progress against the planned schedule.
| Commissioning Process
_ Mechanical and Electrical Pre-Tests
Once installation is complete, mechanical and electrical checks are performed on the system. During this phase, equipment connections, signal verification, and safety functions are checked.
_ Automation Testing and Performance Testing
Following the preliminary tests, the system is commissioned first in a dry run (without materials) and then in a wet run (with materials). Automation scenarios are tested via the PLC and HMI software to observe system behavior. After the parameters are loaded, trial productions are carried out, and system performance is evaluated in accordance with the design criteria.
_ Training and Documentation
As part of the commissioning process, operators and maintenance personnel receive training on system usage and maintenance procedures. User manuals, technical documentation, and the necessary license and certification setups are completed to ensure the system is ready for operation.
_ Delivery and Performance Verification
Once commissioning is complete, the system is evaluated against the defined performance criteria. The system is delivered ready for operation.
