Liquid Concrete Admixture Plant

Full Process Control in Concrete Admixtures

VOLDE builds turnkey production facilities for the industrial-scale manufacturing of liquid concrete admixtures with repeatable quality. The entire process — from raw material acceptance to mixing, from storage to shipment — is handled as a single system through reliable equipment selection, correct dosing, and a PLC/SCADA-controlled automation infrastructure

| Raw Material Acceptance and Stock Management

In liquid concrete admixture facilities, the main raw materials are brought to the site by tankers and typically stored in about 6 stock tanks with a volume of 30–50 m³. These tanks hold liquids of differing chemical character, such as;

 • Polycarboxylate ether (PCE)-based superplasticizers
 • Lignosulfonate derivatives
 • Setting retarders
 • Setting accelerators
 • Air-entraining agents
 • Viscosity modifiers

VOLDE filling systems are designed with a logic that limits operator initiative and secures the process. In the manual-valve filling manifold, the correctness of the selected line is verified via switches; transfer pumps do not activate until the correct line is confirmed.

 • Safe, controlled filling from tanker to stock tank
 • Verification and safety structure that prevents misfilling
 • Tank and piping design suited to acidic, alkaline, or polymer-based raw materials

    | Recipe-Based Dosing and Mixing

Production is carried out using vertical mixers that vary depending on product diversity and capacity. The ratios in which raw materials are to be used are defined in the SCADA-controlled recipe system. The automation system activates the automatic valves and transfer pumps beneath the stock tanks, feeding the liquid raw materials into the mixer in the correct quantity. Process water, meanwhile, is measured via a flowmeter and incorporated into the system in the quantity defined in the recipe.

    | Auxiliary Additives and Powder Feeding Solutions

Low-ratio or critical-performance additives are brought into the system via IBC tanks and precisely weighed at a separate weighing unit before being fed into the relevant mixer. In this group, liquid additives generally include

     • Defoamers and corrosion inhibitors
     • Stabilizers and specialty polymer solutions

Powder additives, depending on the recipe, are transferred to the mixer either directly from 25 kg bags or in weighed form via big-bag discharge systems and screw conveyors. Among these powders are

     • Microsilica
     • Sodium sulfate
     • Calcium formate and mineral fillers

      | Process Automation and Reporting

Once mixing is complete, the finished product is transferred via pumps to product stock tanks or directly to sales tankers. The entire facility is managed by a PLC & SCADA system; production quantities, raw material consumption, and batch information are reported in detail. VOLDE's automation infrastructure is engineered, upon request, to work integrated with ERP systems.

       • Transparent, traceable production management
       • Detailed reporting and data infrastructure
       • Turnkey, long-lasting facility solutions
