VOLDE stand alone Big Bag Unloading Stations are modular units engineered for the safe and clean discharge of powders and granules from big bags into downstream process equipment.

The standard configuration features a heavy-duty four-column support frame, integrated monorail hoist, pneumatically operated bag spout clamping system and flow-assistance massage system, ensuring reliable bag emptying, clean operation and efficient material discharge.

| Big Bag Unloading Unit

The FREEBAG Big Bag Unloading Unit is a modular, stand-alone solution engineered for the safe, clean and controlled discharge of powders and granules from big bags, with seamless integration into downstream process equipment.

• A heavy-duty four-column support frame with an integrated monorail hoist enables safe lifting and precise positioning of the big bag above the discharge point.
• The double-wall, dust-tight bag spout clamping system securely connects the big bag outlet to the receiving hopper, minimizing dust emissions during discharge.
• The pneumatic bag massage system promotes material flow toward the outlet, improving discharge of compacted or difficult-to-flow materials and minimizing residual product in the bag.
• The unit is available in carbon steel or stainless steel construction, can be engineered for ATEX applications and optionally equipped with perimeter safety guarding for enhanced operator protection.

Developed with VOLDE in-house engineering, FREEBAG units can be individually configured to suit material characteristics, process requirements and plant layouts, ensuring reliable integration into the overall bulk material handling system.

| Big Bag Loading Methods

_ Electric Chain Hoist

The big bag is attached to a dedicated lifting cross and raised by the integrated monorail electric chain hoist, allowing safe and accurate positioning directly above the discharge point with minimal operator handling.

_ Forklift and Carrier Frame

The big bag is supported by a dedicated lifting frame and positioned into the unloading station by forklift. A practical and cost-effective solution for facilities with existing forklift infrastructure.

_ Overhead Crane & Lifting Frame

The big bag is suspended from a dedicated lifting frame and lifted and positioned into the unloading station using an overhead travelling crane. Ideal for applications requiring higher lifting capacities and flexible handling across the production area..

| Flow Assistance Options

_ Standard (Without Flow Assistance)

Designed for free-flowing bulk materials that discharge reliably from the big bag without additional mechanical or pneumatic flow assistance.

_ Pneumatic Flow Control

A pneumatically actuated mechanism provides controlled start and stop of material discharge. Ideal for free-flowing materials where controlled emptying or downstream feeding is required.

_ Pneumatic Bag Agitation

Pneumatically operated actuators apply intermittent movement to the bag surface, breaking up compacted material and promoting discharge of cohesive or difficult-to-flow bulk solids.

_ Vibration Assisted Discharge

Controlled vibration promotes material flow from the big bag and helps reduce material build-up, making it suitable for cohesive and poor-flowing powders.

| Combined Big Bag & Bag Unloading Station

The combined unloading station enables both big bags and 25 kg bags to be discharged through a single station, providing maximum flexibility for plants handling raw materials in different packaging formats. Both discharge modes can feed into the same downstream conveying, feeding or dosing equipment.
