Gelatin Separation and Big Bag Filling System

Package a Pure, Dust-Free Product

In animal-derived gelatin and collagen production processes, packaging purity is just as critically important as product quality. The noodle-form product coming out of the mill at the end of the gelatin production line inevitably contains fine dust along with the granular gelatin. For manufacturers selling in big bags, separating this dust from the product is essential both for customer expectations and brand standards. This system guarantees that only the desired product goes into the big bag by controllably separating the gelatin into its granular and powder phases.

| Controlled Separation – Dust-Free Big Bag Filling

The gelatin noodle pieces coming out of the mill are conveyed via a closed-loop line to a dry-type cyclone with the help of a vacuum suction fan. Inside the cyclone, natural separation occurs depending on the product's particle size:

 • The granular gelatin collects in the cyclone body
 • The fine dust is separated from the system along with the air stream

The powder product is captured by a high-efficiency bag-type jet filter and accumulated in the filter bin. Thanks to the rotary valve positioned beneath the filter, the powder fraction is transferred in a controlled manner to a separate sack or bag system. This way, the main product line is completely freed from dust.

    | Hygienic and Precise Big Bag Filling

The granular gelatin is fed to the FULLBAG big bag filling machine via a hygienically designed rotary valve located beneath the cyclone. The system operates on the weighed-filling principle, ensuring that every big bag is filled to the same net weight.

The vibration base in the filling unit ensures the gelatin settles homogeneously inside the big bag, which:

     • Minimizes air pockets
     • Provides maximum filling efficiency
     • Increases stability during transport and storage

With VOLDE separation systems, dust is retained in the process, and only the actual product you want to sell gets packaged. Let's plan the right system for your gelatin line together.

      | ATEX-Compliant, Traceable Process

The entire system is designed with equipment and cabling compliant with ATEX standards against the risk of an explosive atmosphere. Operation is managed via a user-friendly operator panel (HMI).

      Via the panel:

       • Set fill weights can be defined
       • Manual/automatic operating modes can be selected
       • Alarm and fault notifications can be monitored
       • Calibration and service screens can be accessed

The entire system is monitored and controlled from a single screen; the process is made transparent, safe, and independent of the operator.
