Precise Weighing and Controlled Process Feeding via Vacuum

Weighed vacuum conveying systems enable powder and granular raw materials to be safely conveyed within a closed pipeline using the vacuum pneumatic conveying principle, while also allowing controlled process feeding through precise weighing. In these systems, the VACUMATE cyclone unit (vacuum receiver) mounted on load cells weighs the incoming product directly during conveying and automatically ends the conveying cycle once the target weight is reached. This approach delivers high accuracy and repeatability, particularly in blending, batch dosing, and mixer feeding applications.

In weighed vacuum conveying systems, the product is drawn through the vacuum line and accumulated in a vacuum receiver unit mounted on weighing cells. In the PLC-controlled conveying cycle, the system runs until the target weight is reached; the vacuum is then cut off, and the product in the receiver is discharged into the process in a controlled manner.

Thanks to this structure, the system;

 • Combines conveying and weighing into a single piece of equipment
 • Provides high weighing accuracy in the range of ±0.2–1%
 • Creates a suitable infrastructure for batch dosing and recipe-controlled production
 • Provides reliable feeding for mixers, dosing bins, and process equipment

The filter system inside the vacuum receiver separates the conveying air from the product, while an automatic jet-pulse cleaning mechanism ensures continuous filter performance is maintained. Depending on the product properties, controlled discharge can be carried out via a rotary valve, butterfly valve, or dosing equipment.

The performance of weighed vacuum conveying systems is determined through proper engineering based on parameters such as the flow characteristics of the product, conveying distance, and batch precision. Design criteria such as cyclone volume, filter surface area, vacuum capacity, and pipeline diameter are sized according to process requirements.

    | Ideal Solution for Mixer Feeding Applications

    Weighed vacuum conveying systems can be designed to draw product from bag dumping bins, big-bag discharge stations, beneath silos, or intermediate bins. Different raw materials can be measured in the same weighing receiver and fed sequentially into mixers or process bins.
