Break Lumps. Protect the Process

VOLDE Lump Breakers are designed to reduce compacted or agglomerated bulk solids before they enter conveying, feeding or dosing equipment. Installed directly in the product flow, the unit breaks oversized lumps into smaller, manageable pieces without functioning as a mill or fine grinder. By conditioning the material before downstream equipment, the Lump Breaker helps maintain stable flow and reduces the risk of restrictions in rotary valves, screw feeders, pneumatic conveying lines and other process equipment.

| Compact Integration into Material Handling Lines

The compact housing allows the Lump Breaker to be installed directly beneath big bag discharge stations, bag dumpers, bins and other material feeding points. Its low installation height makes it suitable for both new systems and retrofit applications where available space is limited.

Standard inlet sizes cover a wide range of bulk handling duties, while project-specific dimensions can be developed where required.

| Single or Dual Shaft Breaking

The breaking mechanism is selected according to lump hardness, size, product characteristics and required throughput. Single-shaft configurations are suitable for moderate agglomeration, while dual-shaft versions provide greater engagement for denser or more irregular lumps.

Rotor geometry, operating speed and drive selection are matched to the application to achieve effective lump reduction while avoiding unnecessary product degradation and mechanical load.
