| Vacuum-Weighed Batch Dosing

Vacuum-weighed batch dosing is a batch preparation method in which vacuum pneumatic conveying and gravimetric weighing functions are combined within a weighed vacuum cyclone. In a weighed vacuum system:

• The raw material is weighed at the same time it is drawn in by vacuum — a single step
• The weighed cyclone is positioned directly above the mixer
• The need for intermediate bins, transfer equipment, and additional lines is eliminated

| Weighed Vacuum Cyclone

At the heart of the system is the VOLDE Weighed Vacuum Cyclone. It weighs raw materials taken from big-bag discharge units, bag dumping stations, or bins at the same time they are conveyed by vacuum. Operating principle:

• Line Selection - The PLC activates the relevant raw material line according to the recipe
• Fast Vacuum Draw - Material is drawn into the cyclone by high-flow-rate vacuum
• Slow Draw (Fine Dosing) - The system switches to low-flow-rate mode as the target weight is approached
• Automatic Cutoff - The vacuum is automatically cut off once the recipe weight is reached
• Next Raw Material - Vacuum draw into the same cyclone begins for the next ingredient

| Multi-Point Feeding and Automatic Line Selection

Multiple raw material sources are connected to a manifold formed at the cyclone inlet. Automatic dampers on the manifold are opened in sequence by the PLC, ensuring that only the selected line is switched to vacuum. Thanks to this structure:

• Different raw materials are weighed through the same system in the order specified by the recipe
• After the main raw materials are weighed, an additive mixture pre-weighed in the additive dosing section can also be drawn into the cyclone via a separate vacuum line
• The full formulation to be fed into the mixer is collected at a single point
