Conveying and Weighing Combined in a Single Process

VOLDE Vacuum Weighing Systems combine vacuum pneumatic conveying and gravimetric weighing within a single batch preparation process. Multiple ingredients are automatically conveyed from their respective feeding points into a common weighing cyclone, where each material is sequentially collected and weighed according to the selected production recipe. By combining material transfer and weighing in a single system, intermediate handling equipment can be reduced while providing a compact, fully enclosed and clean process. Once all recipe components have been collected, the completed batch can be discharged directly into the mixer or transferred to the downstream process.

| System Configuration & Operating Principle

Raw materials can be supplied from big bag unloading units, bag dump stations, day bins or other material feeding points connected to the vacuum conveying network. According to the selected recipe, the PLC automatically selects the required material line and conveys the ingredient into the vacuum weighing cyclone. Each ingredient is sequentially conveyed and weighed within the same unit. As the target weight is approached, the conveying rate is reduced for accurate final dosing. Once the defined tolerance is achieved, material intake stops and the system automatically switches to the next ingredient.

| Multi-Point Feeding & Vacuum Weighing

Multiple raw material sources—including big bag unloading units, bag dump stations, day bins and micro-dosing systems—can be connected to a common vacuum conveying network. According to the selected recipe, PLC-controlled valves automatically select the required material line and sequentially convey each ingredient to the Vacuum Weighing Cyclone. Mounted on high-resolution load cells, the cyclone combines material receiving, separation and gravimetric weighing within a single unit. Once all recipe components have been collected and weighed, the completed batch can be discharged directly into the mixer or transferred to the downstream process.
