| Automatic Raw Material Distribution for Multiple Machine Lines

In modern plastic production facilities, multiple extruders or injection molding machines can be fed from the same raw material source. For this reason, feeding systems must perform not only conveying, but also a controlled, balanced distribution function.

VOLDE systems operate with centralized distribution structures designed according to the number of machines, production capacity, and raw material consumption rates. Thanks to intermediate bins, on-machine feed hoppers, and automatic diverter valves, raw material is delivered to the right machine at the right time.

The systems are integrated with the automation infrastructure and operate in sync with the production lines. Thanks to level sensors, automatic fill control, and central control software, operator intervention is minimized and production continuity is guaranteed.     | The Right Conveying Technology Based on Raw Material Form

    Raw materials fed to extruders and injection molding machines can be in granular, powder, or blend form, and each material's flow behavior requires a different engineering approach. VOLDE systems are designed with the appropriate transfer technology according to the material's particle structure, density, and flow behavior.

    The most common method for feeding granular plastic raw materials is vacuum pneumatic conveying systems. These systems carry granular raw materials from central silos, bag or big-bag discharge stations, to on-machine bins in an enclosed, clean manner. Especially on production lines with multiple machines, automatic material distribution can be performed via central vacuum systems.

    When it comes to powder-form raw materials or mineral fillers, different solutions come into play. For fine-particle materials such as PVC, calcite, ATH, and MDH, dense-phase pneumatic conveying or screw conveyor feeding systems are preferred. Dense-phase conveying systems convey material at low speed and high density, minimizing dust generation and wear. For shorter distances or local feeding points, screw conveyors offer a stable, economical solution.
