VOLDE Open-Mouth Bag Filling Machines are developed for the controlled packaging of powders, granules and bulk solids into 10–50 kg pre-made bags. Feeding and weighing technology is selected according to product flowability, particle characteristics, bulk density, target weight and required capacity. With screw or belt feeding, gravimetric weighing, pneumatic bag clamping and PLC-controlled operation, the system can handle kraft paper, PE and woven polypropylene bags as a stand-alone machine or as part of a complete packaging line.

| Net Weighing and Gross Weighing Options

The machine can be designed as net weighing or gross weighing depending on product properties and target tolerances.

In the net weighing system, the bag is weighed directly on load cells during filling. The weight is continuously measured as the product enters the bag, and once the target value is approached, the system automatically switches to slow feeding to achieve high precision. It is ideal for products requiring low tolerance, precise sales, or recipe-based accuracy.

In the gross weighing system, the product is first brought to the target weight in a separate weighing hopper, then discharged into the bag in a single pour. This method provides a shorter filling time and is preferred in applications requiring high capacity.

The feeding method is selected according to the product's structure:

| Integrated Packaging. Continuous Operation

After filling, the bag can be released directly onto a discharge conveyor and transferred to the appropriate closing system without intermediate manual handling. Depending on the bag type, sewing or heat-sealing equipment can be integrated into the line, followed by checkweighing, inspection and downstream conveying. For applications requiring operator assistance, vacuum bag lifters and ergonomic handling equipment can be incorporated into the packaging area. Fully automated lines can extend the process through robotic or conventional palletizing, pallet conveying and stretch wrapping. All equipment can operate within a coordinated PLC-controlled sequence, linking product feeding, weighing, filling, bag closing and end-of-line handling into a single packaging process. For higher production requirements, multiple filling stations can be incorporated according to the required capacity and plant layout.
