Stable Flow. Reliable Silo Discharge

SILOCONE Bin Activator is a vibratory discharge solution developed by VOLDE for poor-flowing powders and bulk solids prone to bridging, arching and compaction inside silos and bins. Installed beneath the silo cone, SILOCONE activates the material directly at the discharge zone, promoting continuous movement toward downstream process equipment. Each unit is configured according to material behavior, silo geometry, outlet dimensions and required discharge capacity.

| Effective Flow Activation

Poor-flowing materials can form bridges, compacted zones or irregular flow patterns near the silo outlet, resulting in interrupted or inconsistent discharge. SILOCONE applies vibration across the complete discharge cone, mobilizing the material in the area where these flow restrictions typically develop.

The vibration system is selected according to the characteristics of the stored material and operating conditions, providing effective flow assistance without relying on vibration applied directly to the silo body.

| Isolated Suspension & Flexible Sealing

The SILOCONE body is suspended beneath the silo through vibration-isolating mounting elements, allowing the activator to move independently while minimizing vibration transmission to the main silo structure.

A one-piece C-profile elastomer seal developed by VOLDE creates a flexible connection between the stationary silo flange and vibrating activator body. This design accommodates the required movement while maintaining an enclosed product path and providing easy access for maintenance.

Effective silo discharge depends on more than activator diameter. Bulk density, flowability, cohesiveness, particle characteristics, silo geometry, discharge capacity and downstream equipment are evaluated together when configuring each SILOCONE

Available in Ø750 / Ø1000 / Ø1250 / Ø1500 mm sizes, SILOCONE can be integrated with screw feeders, rotary valves, weighing systems and pneumatic conveying equipment. Vibration sequences can also be coordinated with downstream equipment through the plant PLC
