The amino acids used in chicken feed are raw materials that are extremely sensitive to moisture, dwell time, and environmental conditions. For production continuity and product quality, these additives must be brought into the silo as quickly, cleanly, and safely as possible. VOLDE brings this process under control with silo and dense-phase conveying solutions developed specifically for the feed industry.

| High-Volume, Flexible Silo Configuration

Depending on need, the system includes 1 or 2 skirt-design silos with a volume of 50–80 m³. Thanks to this structure, adaptation to different production scenarios is achieved, stock security is increased, and feeding continuity is guaranteed. The amino acid additive arrives at the factory in big bags. Since letting it sit in open areas carries a risk of moisture absorption, caking, and quality loss, the material must be loaded into the silo as quickly as possible.

For this purpose, the DENSPLUS dense-phase pneumatic conveying system is used.

| Easy for the Operator, Safe for the Process

The operation proceeds as follows:

• The operator lifts the big bag using the monorail crane on the FREEBAG big bag discharge system
• The big bag is placed onto the DENSPLUS pressure conveying vessel
• The skirt section is connected leak-tight, without dust leakage
• The system is activated and the amino acid is transferred to the silo via dense phase
• This process is repeated sequentially, and the powder material is loaded into the silos without contact with the outside environment.
