Precise Weighing and Dosing Solution for Multi-Ingredient Recipes

The central weighing-hopper batch dosing system is a gravimetric automatic dosing method in which a small to moderate number of raw materials are weighed in sequence in a single weighing hopper according to the recipe. This method is particularly preferred in processes requiring high weighing precision. Each raw material is dosed to the target weight by the automation system using a two-stage feeding logic (coarse feed + fine feed); feeding stops automatically once the tolerance range is reached. Once all components are complete, the batch is transferred to the mixer or to the next process stage. 

| System Architecture and Layout

In the system, bag dumping stations, big-bag discharge units, small silos, or pneumatic conveying receivers are positioned around the central weighing hopper. Thanks to this compact layout:

 • Ease of maintenance and access
 • Small footprint (ideal especially for tight factory spaces)
 • High accuracy with a single weighing point
 • Cost optimization (no need for a separate weighing system for each raw material)

 • Coarse Feed: Dosing at high flow rate up to a point close to the target weight
 • Fine Feed: Precise weighing at low flow rate as tolerance is approached
 • Tolerance Control: Automatic stop once the target weight is reached
 • Batch Transfer: Transfer to the mixer or vacuum cyclone once all raw materials are complete

    In facilities with a high production tempo, parallel batch preparation is possible using multiple weighing hoppers or rotary/tilting weighing mechanisms. Thanks to this structure::
